July Client of the Month: Sydney Rickard
In May of 2019, I decided I needed to start making changes in my life. I just graduated with my BA in psychology, and I felt tired and sluggish.
My clothes all felt tighter, I was getting winded taking the stairs and I knew I had a very unhealthy relationship with food (All things I have struggled with forever!). I started changing my eating habits and moving my body more, I began by walking, at lunchtime, after supper, and even some early mornings. I knew that I wasn’t going to reach my fitness goals by simply walking. A coworker had recommended Sweat Club, but I was nervous about joining a gym class. I was wrong about my assumptions and the whole Sweat Club team were super friendly and inviting. The first week of classes I signed up for 5 sessions, by Saturday of that week I could barely walk but I still put on my sneakers and got going! This club has totally changed my mindset and view of myself. I’ve realized that it’s not all about the number that is staring back at you on the scale, it’s about feeling better and making small changes. For the first time in my life, I feel like I’m on the path to body positivity, I feel strong, I can physically see and feel the difference in my body. I am sleeping better, feeling better and overall loving myself more. Thank you so much Sweat Club! 35 pounds down and still more to go, but every day I learn more and more about what my body can do! I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!!
