September Client of the Month: Lindsay Bowman

We would like to recognize our September CLIENT OF THE MONTH! Congrats, Lindsay Bowman!

Lindsay was one of our very first clients when we opened in May. Her dedication and work ethic is admirable.

Lindsay’s story: “Four years ago I accomplished an audacious goal. I capped off years of training, dedication, sacrifice and focus with Ironman Austria, a 4km swim, followed by a 180km bike ride followed by a 42km run, in 13.5 hours. I was on top of the world. I was the fittest and most proud of myself I'd ever been.

And then I essentially sat on my ass for three years.

I suppose the training had burned me out. The thought of swimming laps made me ill, the idea of going out for a five-hour bike ride bored me to tears, and I physically balked at running more than five kilometres. What made it worse was that years of long cardio sessions had conditioned me to think if I wasn't committing to hours of exercise, I may as well not even bother.

I spotted the Sweat Club one day during one of my marathon scrolling sessions through Instagram. I was intrigued. I needed to move again. The club was one minute from my office. I'm admittedly drawn to new things. I bought a five-class pass and never looked back. I have been going 3-4 times a week for the last six months.

I absolutely love that the classes are only 45-55 minutes long. I love that no two classes are ever the same. I love that there are only 12 people in a class and that the entire workout is planned for you. I love the variety of exercises, the motivating trainers and the atmosphere of the gym. It's an inclusive, fun and challenging fitness club. While weight loss wasn't the motivator for me to join Sweat Club, I have dropped 10 lbs since June, and since I certainly can't contribute that to cutting back on patio beers I'll give the credit to Laura and the team. I'm entirely hooked.”
